On occasion of Spain being designated as invited country of honour invited to the International Book Fair in Peking 2009, the Cervantes Institute of Peking and the Foreign Trade Institute (FTI) designed an ample programme of activities orientated towards presenting the work of renowned Spanish publishers, as well as a representative sample of the diverse Spanish cultures. OQO editora was one of the publishers to be invited to carry out several workshops.
Art and the illustrated album brings the youngest closer to a series of illustrations that comprise distinct plastic sensitivities, artistic images that offer a second reading of the narrative, intending to educate the sensitivity of the spectator while enjoying the image.
An introduction to the illustrated story and its evolution is achieved, proposing an analysis of the distinct illustrative techniques and styles (collage, acrylic, sculpture…), as well as the narrative and visual metaphors of the images from illustrations of different books from OQO editora .
